Friends of MSF at UGA Inc. is an independent nonprofit corporation in addition to being a student chapter of the MSF-USA (Doctors Without Borders). Friends of MSF UGA seeks to unite and immerse students in a culture of service, learning, and personal development. As an organization, we aim to educate members on ongoing issues in healthcare, provide service opportunities in the Athens community, and fundraise for crises throughout the world. 

 

Our chapter aims to help all populations in need irrespective of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or politics. We stand as the largest, completely student-led, humanitarian nonprofit in the state of Georgia and the leading Friends of MSF chapter in raising money for MSF USA global projects.

 

Our organization is run by ten executive officers who are overseen by our board of directors. The diversity, equity, and inclusion committee also holds power as a third branch. Under different officers, leadership teams are managed to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day actions. Overall, we have over 40 leadership positions and hundreds of members working hard to serve the Athens community and beyond.
